Our double bill terror movies, "Mr. Morgan" and "Behind," to be shot simultaneously in Portugal in Autumn 2024, are the subject of an exclusive Variety article this week at AFM.

Budget: €2M for two movies shot simultaneously.

Mr. Morgan

Our aim is to multiply the production value of our movies using economy of scale, concentrating our creative team, crew, and equipment in one space-time. This way, we can entirely focus on delivering the best cinematic experience for our audience," says producer Emmanuel Saez.

Mr. Morgan brings author/director Alexandre Laugier's exceptional screenwriting to life—truly original, bloody, and terrifying. Four young burglars target Mr. Morgan's affluent home to settle a debt, but their simple plan spirals into a nightmare when appearances prove deceptive.

Behind, crafted by maverick low-budget director David Aboucaya, it's a spine-chilling paranormal reality show that promises to jolt you awake after experiencing it on the big screen. A TV crew shoots the pilot of a paranormal series in an isolated lighthouse on a reputedly haunted island. Initially scripted with special effects, the team soon encounters genuine paranormal phenomena.
